Figuration

From a young age, Lizaso "lives in clay, thinks in clay," he sketches and models through this material. Ductile and malleable, Lizaso transforms his thoughts shaping them with great skills. In the 80s he models works related to pottery transgressing pieces with industrial elements. Later, he made large format works in clay with a more ethnographic language, with disproportionate human bodies always representing strength. In Chicago USA there is a very important collection from the exhibitions made in the late 90s. Many of these works were recreated with a more durable material such as bronze.
